How do I create a trace on Whympr ?
**Here’s the tutorial video**
And here’s a step-by-step guide:
Tap the “+” button at the bottom center of the app and select “Create a track”.
You’ll be geolocated on the map with a blue dot. Tap the screen to place your starting point.
Use the “magic wand” tool at the bottom right to automatically generate a route following the shortest path between your placed points.
Without the magic wand, points will be connected by straight lines.
Drawing mode: When activated with the magic wand, you can draw directly on the map with your finger. Whympr will convert your drawing into a route that follows existing paths.
Drawing mode also works without the magic wand: in this case, your manual trace will be kept exactly as drawn, without snapping to trails.
At the top of the screen, find key stats like distance, elevation gain, and elevation loss for your track.
At the bottom right, access options to:
Switch to 3D mode,
Change the map background,
Display slope inclination.
Once saved, find your track in your profile under “Created tracks”.
You can download it for online or offline viewing.
Easily share your track via message, email, or other platforms.
This feature is available on both iOS and Android.
