# How do I select maps in the web app?

To select and overlay two base maps in the web app, follow these steps:

1. Click on the base maps you want to display.
2. Use the **vertical bar** between the two backgrounds to adjust their **opacity**:
* Drag the **slider to the left** or **right** to make one of the two backgrounds more or less visible.
* If you move the slider to one end, you will see **only one background map**.

*This overlay system is useful for comparing different types of maps (IGN, satellite, etc.).*

**⚠️ Please note**
Not all base maps available on the mobile app are **yet accessible** in the Web App.
We are working to gradually expand this feature.
