Articles on: Introducing Whympr

How does the Whympr feed work?

Whympr's feed offers a newsfeed (this is the very first feature that appears when you open the app). You'll find the recent outings for all activities and mountain ranges. These outings are posted either by Whympr users or by users from other sites, like Skitour for ski touring.

By clicking on an outing, you can find feedback on conditions, photos, and even a GPX track shared by the user. You can interact with them through the comment section or like their outing. If you click on "View the itinerary", you'll access a description and more information. If the route inspires you, you can save it to "To Do" to easily find it later on your profile.

By clicking on the user's name, you can view their profile and choose to follow them. By following them, you'll receive a notification every time they post an outing on Whympr. To return to the newsfeed, simply click on "Outings" in the bottom left. At the top of the feed, you'll find information about your location, such as altitude and weather.

Weather bulletins are available worldwide, showing the forecast for the selected point of interest. You'll also find the avalanche bulletin for the area where you are geolocated, if available. In addition to your geolocation, you can add favorite BERA and weather bulletins for other locations to easily access them.

At the top right of the newsfeed, you'll find the search bar to find an itinerary, summit, or person.

Next to it is a notification bell that will let you see who liked your outing or who posted on the app.
