The app won't open
Are you trying to open Whympr but the app won't open or keeps crashing?
1. Make sure your app is up to date in your app store
To do this, search for Whympr in the App Store or Google Play Store and update it
2. Force close the app and restart it
Sometimes, simply restarting the app is all it takes.
On iPhone: Swipe up from the bottom of the screen (or double-tap the Home button), find Whympr, and swipe it up to close it. Reopen it.
On Android: Tap the square button (recent apps), close Whympr, then reopen it.
3. Restart your phone
If the problem persists, completely restart your device. A restart resets the GPS modules and often resolves temporary glitches.
4. As a last resort: uninstall and reinstall the app
If none of the steps above work, uninstall Whympr and then reinstall it from the App Store or Play Store.
💡 Your tracks and outings are saved to your Whympr account—you won’t lose any data by reinstalling the app.
Still having trouble?
If your GPS still isn’t working after trying all these steps, contact our support team and include:
- Your phone model
- The app version (found in Profile > Settings)
- A description of the issue (no blue dot, incorrect location, GPS turning off…)
